Former Minister and YSRCP official spokesperson K.Parthasarathy and MLA Chevireddi Bhaskar Reddy today flagged off the special train full of party leaders and party activists from all the 13 districts to New Delhi for SCS.

Speaking to media, Parthasarathy said that SCS was not alms the Centre was giving to the State but is the right of the people of the State. He said the party decided not only to move a no-confidence motion in Parliament but was also going to make its MPs resign for the sake of Special Category Status. Chevireddi Bhaskar Reddy said that both the Centre and the State have deceived the people of Andhra Pradesh.

Jana Sena JFFC demands grants of SCS::

Meanwhile, the Joint Fact Finding Committee constituted by the Jana Sena Party has demanded the Central Government to grant Special Category Status to the State. Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan today released the report. The JFFC that studied the status of implementation of the promises made to the State said that there was no alternative to mounting pressure on the Centre for the benefits under the SCS promised to the State. It said that the 14th Finance Commission did not make any recommendation of not granting SCS. The claims that NITI Aayog had not accepted the SCS would also not hold ground as a non-statutory body could not overrule the decision of the Union Government.
