In a tragic incident, two students form Andhra Pradesh drowned in a lake at Essen city in Germany on Sunday.
According to sources the deceased are K.Mallikarjuna (23) from Kattavaripalem of Kondipi mandal of Prakasam district and Dandamudi Udaya Nagamani Shankar(22) from Atchannapalem of Nallajarla mandal of West Godavari. They along with of his friends went for boating in the lake which overturned after drifting towards a danger zone. Shankar from died on the spot, Mallikharjuna Rao died in a hospital three hours later.
Mallikharjuna Rao went to Germany only in May to pursue post-graduation in mechanical engineering in the University of Dulsburg said his father Venkata Ramanaiah. He did his B.Tech in Aerospace Engineering in Lakireddy Balireddy College of Engineering at Mylavaram. The bereaved family expects the body to arrive at his native village after post-mortem in a day or two.
Nagamani Shankar did his engineering in RVR&JC college in Guntur and went to Germany for pursuing M.S.in April this year.
Ongole MP Y.V.Subba Reddy got in touch with the officials of the Indian Embassy in Germany and the External Affairs Ministry in New Delhi to bring early the bodies.
