The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal said on Monday that Sri Vari Brahmotsavams will be celebrated on a grand scale with an estimated cost of Rs.8 crore.
Speaking to media today, he said that efforts were on to organize the annual event in an unprecedented way. The main emphasis would be in meeting the requirements of the pilgrims, supply of free food and maintenance of hygiene as the festival is bound to attract millions form the nook and corner of the country.
The Executive Officer said that 1,400 CCTV cameras would be installed at all vital points. The procession of ‘Garuda seva’ would start at 7.30pm on September 27 and is expected to last till 1am. The APSRTC authorities will organize 4,000 trips on the day alone. Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu will make the customary presentation of sil vastrams on behalf of the government on September 23rd soon after the ‘Dwajarohanam’ festival, he said. He released the wall poster of the nine-day annual event. Over 3,500 police personnel, vigilance personnel will be on the job. There will not be any VIP break darshans during the nine day festive time, he said.
