HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao in a release said that the Teacher Eligibility Test has been postponed taking into consideration of the pleas of the aspirants and the students’ organizations for preparation.

He said that the TET would be conducted between February 21 and March 3. According to original schedule, the TET has been scheduled from February 5 to 15 but the was postponed following pleas. He said that request from the D.Ed 2016-`8 batch students, the B.Tech graduates who pursued Diploma in Education and the Bachelor of Education seeking time were the reasons for the postponement of the Test. Even after postponing it to February first week, the requests kept coming in leading to postponement again, he said.

The Minister said that arrangements for conducting the online test for the 4,46,833 aspirants are going on.
