The State Cabinet in its meeting on Thursday have its nod for regularization of houses constructed on Government land up to 100 square yards. It would be done free of cost to BPL families.

The above Poverty Line families must pay a fee of 7.5% on land measuring up to 100 square yards, 15% on plots between 101 and 250 square yards and 30% on those between 251 and 500 square yards. Sources said that the decision would benefit nearly 20 lakh people. However, houses constructed over 500 square yards would be removed.

The State Cabinet gave more time to Patanjali Ayurveda Limited to lift the red sanders stocks it purchased in the first phase of e-auction in 2014.

The State Cabinet cleared a special package of incentives amounting to Rs.54 crore to farmers growing crops other than cotton in light soils. A subsidy of 75% would be given on seeds and a bonus of Rs.200 per quintal for pulses, millets, oil seeds and other alternative crops.

The State Cabinet has sanctioned 13 posts to each of the three offices in the AP Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Authority in Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada and Tirupati.

The Cabinet has cleared the payment of 6th instalment of DA to its employees. The payment would be made into the GPA accounts until August from January 2016 and would be credited to salary accounts. It is an additional burden of Rs.100 crore per month on the government exchequer.
