Revanth Kumar Sarma is the winner of Indian Idol Season 9

L.V.Revanth, the playback singer from the State was announced as the winner of Indian Idol Season 9 by cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar on Sunday.

The first runners-up was Khuda Baksh, the second runners-up was P.V.N.S.Rohit. The finale witnessed three contestants LV Revanth Kumar, Khuda Baksh and PVNS Rohit who fought for the title of Indian Idol .

Revanth Kumar along with the title was awarded a prize money of Rs.25 lakh, Mahindra KUV 100 and also a signing contract with Sony Music.

Khuda Baksh hails from Punjab while Revanth and Rohit form Andhra Pradesh.

Revanth who sang over 200 songs got fame with the song ‘Manohari’ from ‘Baahubali’ . His full name is Lolla Venkata Revanth Kumr Sarma hails from Srikakulam district and was born on February 10, 1990.
