The Medical and Health department has relaxed the norms for issuance of PG Medical Certificates for the students who have completed their course.

As of now, there is a rule that those who completed PG medical courses have to invariably work in rural area hospital and then only the certificate will be issued. With this condition, those who get a seat in super-specialty course are deprived of the chance. With this background, the officials of Dr.NTR University of Health Sciences has recommended the government not to obstruct them from pursuing higher education.

The government while relaxing the norms only for pursuing the higher education and not the register themselves with Medical Council of India. The government has ordered the MCI (AP Chapter) to this effect. The department has directed the MCI (AP Chapter) to register only after submitting a certificate of completion of rural service. Even after completion of super-specialty course, the student has to undergo rural service to get himself/herself to register with the MCI.
