In a public ballot conduced by AIDWA and student bodies before KVR Government junior college for girls on Saturday reflected the overwhelming resentment among students against District Collector Ch.Vijayamohan’s threat to issue Transfer Certificates and suspend 11 students who represented to him on lack of class rooms, hostels, toilets and drinking water facilities.

As many as 2,495 students voted against and only five in favour in the public ballot. Terming the Collector’s remarks against girl students derogatory, the leaders of AIDWA, AISF, SFI, PDSU said his dictatorial attitude was evident by his response when students represent about lack of basic amenities in the KVR Junior college. They warned of intensifying the agitation if the Collector took action in a vindictive manner.
