Noted writer Nayuni Krishnamurthy (67) died at a corporate hospital in Bengaluru today.
He was born at Nadimcharla of Guramkonda mandal in the district I 1951. He had penned several literary works, including poems depicting the middle-class life. At the age of 23, he had authored his first novel, ‘Yamini Kuntalalu’. He had several spiritual works to his credit. For Class VII students had had introduced the periodical, ‘Mabadi’ ad for those in Cass X, it was ‘Patasala’ and both were runaway hits with students and parents as well.
Krishnamurthy was running the Vijayavani Educational Institutions at Chowdepalli in the district. District Collector P.S.Pradyumna expressed grief over Krishnamurty’s demise and recalled his services to the ‘Akshara Tapasman’ campaign that was aimed at achieving total literacy in the State.
