DSP relieved of poll duty

The Election Commission relieved Nandyal DSP Gopala Krishna from election duty and ordered his transfer on Saturday on a complaint filed by the YSRCP. The EC issued orders to this effect following a report. The EC has given additional charge of Kurnool OSD Ravi Prakash as Nandyal DSP.

Seized Rs.40 lakh::

The police raided the house of YSRCP leader Dastagri Reddy at Pulakur in Banganapalle mandal and seized Rs.40.40 lakh from him. The police said the money was seized on the suspicion that it is meant for distributing among voters. They also raided the houses of Jagadeesawar Reddy, Adi Reddy and Linga Reddy all relatives of party candidate Silpa Mohan Reddy and the house of Arya Vysya leader Neraveti Satyanarayana on Friday midnight in Nandyal town but were said to have found no cash.

TDP seeks against YSRCP::

TDP has written a letter to the Chief Election Commissioner of India seeking steps to check the alleged distribution of money by the YSRCP leaders and followers during the campaigning for the election. He alleged that the seized amount was unaccounted money was meant for distribution to voters.

YSRCP levelling baseless charges::

The TDP has alleged that the YSRCP is levelling baseless charges against the ruling TDP as it fears defeat in the by-election. Speaking at a press conference on Saturday, TDP MPs Konakalla Narayana Rao and Kesineni Nani pointed out that how the MPs and MLAs of the YSRCP had misled the officials by stating that the ruling party was moving money in the pantry vehicle of the CM’s convoy to influence the voters and were proved wrong.

‘TDP will win with huge majority’, says Sujana::

Union Minister of State for Science and Technology YS Chowdary said that the TDP would win by a big margin. Speaking to press in Visakhapatnam, he dismissed the allegation of the YSRCP that the TDP was influencing the voters by offering them huge sums of money. He said that the people had a lot of faith in the TDP government and the Chief Minister.
