The Superintendent of Police Gopinath Jatti today launched the ‘Nandyal Bye-Election 2017’ App containing information about the polling stations and their locations with a facility to receive complaints with regard to by-election.
The App can be downloaded from Google Playstore and installed on Android phones. People can report incidents and upload photographs and videos, and they would be monitored from the control room, he said. The App would also contain data about the code of conduct, flying squads, sectoral officers, video surveillance teams, polling party, shadow party and check-posts. Each polling station would be monitored by body-worn cameras, CC and drone cameras, said the SP.
Jupudi urges to Dalits to defeat YSRCP:: SC Corporation chairman Jupudi Prabhakar Rao and former Minister M.Mareppa called upon the Dalits to defeat the YSRCP in the election. Speaking to media, they accused Jagan of targeting the Chief Minister and resorting to personal slander as he was pro-Dalit and ensuring their welfare. Meanwhile YSRCP SC Cell president Meruva Nagarjuna called upon the Dalits to prevent TDP leaders from touring Dalitwadas. He said that a rise in the attacks on the Dalits and closure of SC hostels under the TDP rule.
Seventh day of Jagan tour:: YSRCP president Jagan Mohan Reddy on his seventh day of his election campaign accused Chandrababu Naidu for pledging the Special Category Status to the State after he was being caught red-handed in the cash-for-vote scam in Telangana State. He said that Chandrababu has duped all sections of people and added that he neither the pre-election promises nor post-election promises were fulfilled. He reiterated that credibility was his strength as he neither had money power, police support nor official position. He called upon the people to vote against injustice.
Chakrapani’s resignation accepted:: Party leader Silpa Chakrapani Reddy’s resignation as MLC was accepted on Tuesday. Speaking to media, he said that his family was committed to moral values. He said that his resignation had boosted the party image.
