Mounika Reddy, tech job aspirant dies at interview campus of Infosys

A 23 year old graduate Mounika Reddy who had completed a round of interviews with Infosys was killed on its J.P.Nagar campus on Tuesday when at least three concrete bricks fell on her had from the second floor of an under construction building.

According to reports, Mounika Reddy was speaking to her parents over phone on the interview updates when the incident took place. She hails from Chittoor for the interview and successfully completely one round of interviews and was talking to her parents over phone when the mishap occurred. The incident took place at around 12.30pm and she sustained severe head injuries and collapsed. Her relative Rama Reddy who had accompanied her rushed her to NIMHANS where she succumbed in her injuries.

  • Infosys said in an email statement that ‘we are saddened by the unfortunate incident that took place at our campus on Bannerghatta Road this morning. We extend our deepest sympathies to the victim’s family and will provide them all necessary support in their hour of grief. We are also working with the authorities as they investigate the matter’’, it said.
