Minister launches voicemail Extension programme

The Minister for Animal Husbandry Adinarayana Reddy today launched Animal Husbandry voicemail Extension programme in association with Reliance Foundation at the Veterinary Super Specialty Hospital.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that ten lakh dairy farmers will get information, tips and advice through voice mail messages sent to their mobile phones under the programme. He said that by linking MGNREGA to animal husbandry livestock feed would be given to farmers in summer.

Under this programme, green grass would be given at the rate of Rs.1 a kg, dry gas at the rate of Rs.2 a kg and composite feed at the rate of Rs.3.50 a kg. A toll free number 1800 419 8800 was also being available for the benefit of dairy farmers who have problems, he said.
