Kesineni Tours and Travels that has been operating a fleet of over 400 private buses from Vijayawada for the past several decades have on Friday down their shutters and removed boards.
Following the announcement of Kesineni Srinivas (Nani) the process has started on March 31 in protest against the illegal practices by a few private operators in the region allowed by the local transport authorities.
All the 170 buses are in the garage and Nani would wait for some time just in the case the situation improves, he would restore the operations said a close aid of TDP. Nani alleged that the transport officials are flouting of rules by a few operators who had their vehicles registered in Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland but operated them in this region. He declared that he did not want to be a part of a system where such unauthorized practices were encouraged.
Huge losses being the prime cause in the recent altercation between Nani and Transport Commissioner N.Balasubramanyam who contributed to the closure decision.
