Kerala IGP lands into trouble for allowing his minor son drive official vehicle

A Juvenile court in the State has ordered the police to file a case and investigate into the alleged incident in which the Inspector General of Police Suresh Rajpurohit allowing his minor son (16) driving his official car inside the Police Academy campus.

The court directed that a case be registered under Section 156(3) of the Cr.P.C. and Sec. 23 of Juvenile Justice Act.

The incident of the minor driving the SUV was caught in a mobile camera and went on viral in social media. The same was telecasted by the local channels. The Minister for Home, Kerala Ramesh Chennitala ordered a probe into the incident.

The orders came following a petition filed by one P D Joseph.
