Even the Hyderabad High Court issued notices to the State Government and Mala Mahanadu leader Karem Sivaji seeking response against a petition challenging Sivaji’s appointment he took oath as the first Andhra Pradesh SC/ST Commission Chairperson on Tuesday.
A senior advocate J.V.Prasad of Hyderabad has filed a petition in the High Court saying that criminal cases were filed against Sivaji. The court has posted further hearing to June 7.
Speaking to media, Sivaji said that the act of the petitioner a ‘conspiracy by the Opposition party which could not digest the fact that a Dalit is given a chance to head the Commission. It is saddening but I respect every action of the judiciary in which I have trust’, he said. Sivaji promised the SC/ST community that he would submit a detailed report on the problems faced by them in the State and explore the ways to uplift the communities.
