The Kakinada Municipal Corporation elections will be held on August 29 with the both TDP and YSRCP took seriously and prestigiously on the winning.

Sources said that there 2.29 lakh voters who are going to exercise their franchise to elect their representatives for 48 wards out of 50 divisions. As many as 241 candidates are in the fray that includes the TDP-BJP combine, YSRCP, Congress, the Left parties, independents and rebel candidates of the TDP-BJP combine and the YSRCP.

The political parties have shifted their focus after Nandyal by-election taking it as a prestigious one by both the ruling and the main Opposition parties. The winning of the elections in the KMC is being considered crucial to prove the political parties existence.

Chandrababu Naidu chants development mantra:: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday the second day of his campaign has called the people to vote for development. He promised that Kakinada would be made a clean and loveable destination, besides generating employment to youth. He used the development mantra in Kakinada too after Nandyal. Like in earlier occasions, he left no stone unturned to charge Jagan Mohan Reddy on every possible count.

Jagan demands Naidu to fulfill the promised promises first::Jagan Mohan Reddy too left no stone in highlighting the failures of the TDP and said that Chandrababu is still now trying to deceive the people by making false promises. He reminded the people of the TDP complete loan waiver to farmers and members of women self-help groups, and one job each to all the households. He said that the government on one hand did not fulfill the promises and on the other hand removed the welfare schemes in a systematic way. He demanded Chandrababu to fulfill the pending promises before announcing the new ones.
