Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan said today that the party would contest elections in both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana States only from winning places.

Speaking to pressmen, he was all praise for Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhara Rao and termed him a working and smart leader who had played a crucial role in the formation of the Telangana State. He said that he will pursue constructive and not destructive politics. ‘I don’t entertain the idea of splitting votes with my party contesting polls. I supported the TDP in the 2014 elections for the development of the new Andhra Pradesh after bifurcation. He was seeking the opinion of intellectuals and senior journalists for strengthening the party. He said that he had friends in all political parties and would be meeting all of them.

Terming the ‘note-for-vote’ case, a crime and a sensitive issue, he said the two Telugu States had many challenges, dreams and promises to be fulfilled. He would be launching a three-day drought-yatra at Anantapur on January 27 and open the party office there. He would also tour Ongole district to study the prevailing fluorosis issue and kidney patients’ problems. He will also visit tribal areas of Visakhapatnam and inquire about the Kovvada nuclear power plant issue.
