Jagannadha Rao appointed as ENC of R&B

Andhra Pradesh State government has appointed Jagannadh Rao as Engineer-in-chief of Road and Buildings. At present, he is the Managing Director of AP Road Development Corporation.

Meanwhile, the government has placed Gangadharam under suspension following he was trapped by ACB in disproportionate assets case.

It may be recalled that the ACB has come to a conclusion that he amassed over Rs.150 crore worth of assets.

Rs.2.61 crore more found in tainted engineer’s bank lockers:: ACB officials who are conducting searches on the assets of R&B Engineer-in-Chief M.Gangadharam for the third day on Monday noticed cash and jewellery valued about Rs.2.61 crore. The officials opened the bank lockers in Andhra Bank, Sanathnagar and Sunder Nagar branches, Kotak Mahindra Bank, HDFC Bank and Punjab National Banks all in Hyderabad. They also found investments in a private company all worth Rs.2.61 crore including Rs.2 lakh cash at the accused house. Earlier, they have confiscated property worth more than Rs.50 crore and registered a case for possession disproportionate assets.
