YSRCP chief Y.S.Jagan Mohan Reddy today met the Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitely on Friday and complains him of the TDP encouraging defections and offering ministerial berths to defected MLAs.
Jagan appealed him the need to strengthen the Anti Defection Law to safe guard the democracy in the country. He along with MPs Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy, YV Subba Reddy, Velagapalli Varaprasada Rao, V.Viajaya Sai Redy, P.V.Mithun Reddy, Y.S.Avinash Reddy met Jaitely. They also met left paty leaders Seetharam Yechuri, Suravaram Sudkhakara Reddy, JDU chief Sarad Yadav, Samajvadi Party leader Mulayam Singh Yadav. They discussed the need to fight for safe guarding the democracy in the country.
During the meeting with Jaitely, Jagan submitted him a memorandum seeking a CBI probe in AgriGold scam, implementation of Special Category Status to the State and other issues.
Speaking to media after the meetings, Jagan said that he explained them that the Chandrababu Naidu government in the State is encouraging defections. He went a head and has given ministerial berths to the defected MLAs whose resignations are pending with the Speaker leading to degradation of democratic values. He said that Jaitely is basically an advocate and if he understands what is happening in the State that is under their friendly party’s rule will let know the BJP top leaders who in turn guides Nara Chandrababu Naidu. He hopes that they could change Naidu’s way of administration in tune with democratic values. Jagan wanted Jaitely to order for a CBI probe in the AgriGold scam and bring out the benami assets and do justice to the investors. He also appealed him to implement the assurance of SCS to the State.
