Airline IndiGo today lifted the ban it imposed on TDP MP J.C.Diwakar Reddy last month following alleged disruptive behavior against its staff.
It revoked the bank after a meeting between its officials and Diwakar Reddy at a lunch hosted by TDP MP Y.S.Chaudhary. ‘The issue is amicably resolved between the two and IndiGo has decided to lift the said ban with immediate effect’, said its spokesperson in a statement. The three hour long meeting ended after Diwakar Reddy expressed his regrets, said the statement.
It is said that Reddy has agreed to withdraw the case he filed against the airlines, Jet Airways, Vistara, Air Asia and GoAir which too had barred him from flying by their airlines. It is reliably learnt that the Air India and SpiceJet also revoked the ban.
These developments took place after the High Court ordered a response from the respondents following a petition filed by Diwakar Reddy on the issue.
