Heavy competition prevails for various posts that are to be conducted by APPSC for the 20 notifications issued in last year.
The last date for submitting applications for all posts is near completing. Soruces said that screening test would be conducted for applications received over 25,000 for all posts. Those who come out with flying colours in the screening test will be allowed to take up mains.
As on date, 6,57,010 candidates have applied for 982 Group II posts that means that 670 candidates compete for each post. The APPSC secretary YVST Sai said that the screening test will be conducted on February 26. The main examination will be held on May 20. The screening test will be conducted on OMR based test while the mains will be computer based examination.
As many as 5,65,798 competes for 1,055 Panchayat Secretary posts that literally means that 537 candidates compete for each post. The Screening test will be held on April 23 and main test will be held on July 16.
For Group I 7 posts, as many as 93,386 candidates have applied and the preliminary test will be held on May 7 while the Main test will be held on August 17 said APPSC sources.
