Following a complaint by the State Assembly Secretary K.Satyanarayana, the Guntur police have arrested a graphic designer Inturi Ravi Kiran for posting objectionable content in Face Book.

According to source, the content posted on the Face Book page ‘Political Punch’ reportedly has objectionable pictures with the building of the Legislative Council at Velagapudi in the backdrop. Superintendent of Police, Guntur Rural K.Narayan Naik said a special police team arrested the accused from his house at Shamshabad. The police slapped Section 67 of IT Act and 291 IPC for posting objectionable and derogatory comments.

Ravi Kiran told to the police that he works for the social media wing of a party and is paid Rs.25,000 per month. He would be produced before the court on Saturday.

Sources said that the FB page allegedly has pictures of Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu and his son and Minister for Information Technology Nara Lokesh in the back drop of the Legislative Council.
