The AP State government has expressed its inability to regularize the services of contract employees as was promised in the election manifesto.

The government citing the Supreme Court judgement expressed its inability but assured to increase their salaries. The Ministers sub-committee met at Velagapudi Interium Secretariat on Tuesday has decided to increase 50 per cent hike in their salaries. The Sub-Committee comprising of Ministers Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, Ganta Srinivasa Rao, Kamineni Srinivas, Kaluva Srinivasulu has recommended the government over the hike.

The salary hike on the 26,664 contract employees will burden the government to the tune of R.199.74 crore said sources.
