The Commissioner of Industries Siddharth Jain cleared incentives amounting to Rs.152 crore at a State level committee meeting today.

With this, the total incentives approved in five meetings of the State Level Committee reached about Rs.802 crore in respect of 771 claims. A release said that Rs.152 crore about Rs.97 crore goes towards the cost of power borne by the industries.

Sales tax incentives amounting to nearly Rs.44 crore is the next big give way by the government to 81 industrial units. FAPSIA Vice President E.Purnachandra Rao and AP Spinning Mills’ Association Chairman D.Prasad said the necessary clearances for new industries were being given speedily and it augured well for the growth of the State and hoped that the Chief Minister would oblige their request to allot Rs.3,000 crore for industrial incentives.
