HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao submitted a memorandum to Union Minister Prakash Javadekar in New Delhi today seeking release of Rs.2,910 crore towards Central budget outlay for 2017-18 for the creation of permanent infrastructure of five national institutions.

They are the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Tirupati (Rs.1,100 crore), Indian Institute of Management, Visakhapatnam (Rs.1,030 crore), Indian Institute of Technology, Tirupati (Rs.700 crore), National Institute of Technology in West Godavari (Rs.50 crore) and Indian Institute of Information Technology, Kurnool (Rs.30 crore).
