Former Union Minister and four time MP from Eluru Bolla Bulli Ramaiah (92) died at his residence in Tanuku today following ill-health.

He was born at Tatipaka in East Godavari district on July 9, 1926. He began his career as an industrialist by associating himself with the Andhra Sugars Limited before making an entry into politics.

He had represented the TDP in the Lok Sabha in 1984, 1991, 1996 and 1999 and worked as Union Minister of State for Commerce in the H.D.Deve Gowda and I.K.Gujral governments form 1996-98. Leaders of various political parties expressed their condolences over the demise of the veteran leader.
