Union Minister for Environment Anil Madhav Dave (60) passed away this morning

Dave was not well for the last few months. He was rushed to AIIMS this morning following he complained of uneasiness where he passed away.

‘I was with Anil Madhav Dave ji till late last evening, discussing key policy issues. This demise is a personal loss.’, tweeted Narendra Modi.

Dave was born on July 6, 1956 in Badnagar in the Ujjain district of Madhya Pradesh to Pushpa Devi and Madhav Dave. He did his M.Com from Gujarati College, Indore. He was a MP representing Madhya Pradesh in the Rajya Sabha since 2009. He was a member of various committees including the Committee on Water Resources and the Consultative Committee for the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. He was also a member of the Parliamentary Forum on Global Warming and Climate Change from March 2010 to June 2010. He was appointed as the Minister of State (MoS) independent charge of Environment, Forest and Climate Change in the Modi Government's cabinet expansion on 5 July 2016.
