Chief Minsiter Nara Chandrababu Naidu today inaugurated the Andhra Pradesh State Police headquarters.

The office was built in a record ten months’ time on the premises of the APSP 6th Battalion at Tadepalli in capital region. Speaking on the occasion, Chandrababu Naidu said that the State police had the best and latest technology and wanted the force to follow the dictum. Police should be invisible and policing should be visible. He wanted them to be fit and smart.

The state-of-the-art five storey building houses all the State level wings of the police department and the office of the DGP. The Chief Minister appreciated the way the headquarters was built in a short span of time with infrastructure and facilities better than top corporate offices. ‘Officers will spend more time here than at homes as the headquarters is built in a sophisticate manner’, he said. Chandrababu showered praised on the police personnel who performed various feats on motorcycles during Independence Day celebrations at Tirupati.

The headquarters house CID, AP Police Recruitment Board, Training Department, Law and Order, offices of DIGs, DGP office and conference hall. The building was built at a cost of Rs.40 crore and the foundation stone was laid for the building on August 26, 2016.
