Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu took part in the Christmas celebrations at St.Paul Cathedral.
Chandrababu said that he prayed of the construction of the State’s new capital city Amaravati and also the Polavaram multipurpose project. The government wanted a hassle-free completion of Amaravati and Polavaram projects and added that ‘I sought His blessings to lead us ahead’.
He said that the Christian community was doing yeomen services to the society. They work with service motto. The educational institutions have increased seats by 350 to facilitate admission to children of officials and employees who shifted to Amaravati.
Extending greetings to the Christian community, he said Christmas was the only major festival the entire mankind across the globe celebrated. He announced of giving Rs.5 lakh for construction of churches. Christian Bhavan was also being constructed in Guntur at a cost of Rs.10 crore, he said. Chandrababu read a few lines from the Bible.
