The Chinese firm, Alibaba Cloud, the cloud computing arm of the Alibababa Group have evinced interest in setting up its data centre in the State. The company will establish its first centre in Mumbai on Friday.
Alibaba Cloud president Simon Hu has assured Chandrababu Naidu in Davos that his company would set up its second centre in the State. The data centre would be opened by the end of this calendar year. The firm was also proving micro loans to the micro and medium entrepreneurs without any collateral security. About 60 million to 70 million parcels were dispatched every day, he said.
In a meeting with Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra, the Chief Minister asked him to construct the industrial SEZ in the State. He invited Anand to visit the State and look for the place suitable for the SEZ.
Pfizer Vaccines president Susan Silbermann called on Chandrababu and explained him the need for giving permission to introduce pneumonia vaccines in the State. Chandrababu Naidu agreed to immediately give permission required to introduce the vaccine.
