Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Monday offered a slew of work relaxations including a five-day week, an additional 30 per cent HRA and housing for government officers.
Chandrababu Naidu performed the ceremonial house warming at one of the six blocks at the Government Interim Complex coming up at Velagapudi on Modnay. He said that staff would be provided with all modern communication tools to clear the pending files. Many of the employees have expressed concerns over leaving Hyderabad and relocating to Amaravati. ‘We will take care of your needs and ensure you have comfortable stay in the new Capital region. I want a corruption free and transparent administration’, he said.
It may be recalled that the State Government has imposed a deadline of June 15, 2016 for secretarial staff and staff working in various directorates to relocate to Amaravati. A few departments have already started functioning from Vijayawada and Guntur. The offer of Chandrababu received mixed response from the NGO association. AP NGO association president P.Ashok Babu said that ‘we should remember that the first people to move in a colony will face certain issues like water, power but they will have an advantage’.
