Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu today on Monday inaugurated smart police station for the first time in the country in old Guntur and Nagarapaem.

The police station has a corporate look with all modern infrastructure and communication facilities. The well trained police will react within seconds of the crime related issues. The DGP Sambasiva Rao said that smart health cards have been issued to the police personnel.

Chandrababu Naidu handed over a smart health card to a police constable as a mark of inauguration. The smart card will have all the particulars and the police personnel can have medical treatment in any hospital.

Sambasiva Rao said that the department has created four best awards viz., ABCD. The Chief Minsiter has presented the winners for the four categories. e-learning:: Chandrababu Naidu has launched e-learning solutions for the police staff.

The Smart police station has no boundary walls but the exterior has been beautifully landscaped while the façade is of glass. The fully air-condition station has a staff room, dormitory, mini control room, a reception chamber and individual enclosures for the Station House Officer and three Sub-Inspectors. Staff at the staff will not wear the usual khaki uniform and instead sport a navy blue trousers and a light blue shirt while women staff have a light blue sari for uniform. The smart police station does not have a lock-up for detainees but a custody room with a double bed has been readied.
