Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu appears to have taken a final step to severe ties with the alliance partner BJP.
Officials reports from Union Finance Ministry suggested that the Centre had ruled out the possibility of granting Special Category Status to Andhra Pradesh. In this back drop, Chandrababu Naidu reportedly held an instant opinion poll among the MLAs, MLCs. He gave three options during legislature party meeting. They are 1. Severe ties immediately, 2. Wait and watch and the 3 is keep building pressure on the Centre. Majority of them raised hands in favor of the first option said Bonda Umamaheswara Rao.
Chandrababu told the party MLAs that he would make his view known to them during his reply to the motion of thanks to the Governor’s address on Wednesday. He reportedly got disappointed when he heard that the Centre had rejected the demand and the incentives to industry on the ground that other States might seek it. How could they compare Andhra Pradesh with other States?
