Dell said that it plans to set up data centre either in Amaravati or any other place in the State. Bell Helicopters also announced that it was exploring the possibility of setting up a manufacturing unit.
AP Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu in Dallas interacted with Bell helicopter Director Chad Sparks and Dell representatives Srikanth Satya during the third day of his visit in US. He said that the government had come out with an attractive aviation policy. The Bell company can contact officials to materialize its plans, he said.
Twenty eight IT service companies had come forward to start their operations in the State. Premier IT solutions, Global Outlook, Tekpros and Arcus Technologies are a few among them. These companies will lease space in Visakhapatnam and Amaravati providing employment to 310 and 64 professionals.
Chandrababu Naidu sanctioned Rs.6 crore for establishment of Amaravati School of Telugu linguistics in the University of Silicon Andhra. ’Not just in Andhra Pradesh, every Telugu household in the US should have a computer literate, an entrepreneur and a Kuchipudi dancer’.
