A Division Bench of the Hyderabad High Court comprising acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan and Justice Uma Devi today directed the State government to inform the court by Thursday the names of the members who have been appointed in the Special Investigation Team (SIT) to reinvestigate B.Pharmacy student Ayesha Meera murder case.

The Division Bench was dealing with a writ petition filed by the parents of Ayesha and separate PIL was filed by three women activists. The Division Bench was told by the government that the SIT was being constituted. Ayesha Meera was killed in her hostel and the police claimed that Satyam Babu was the killer. The High Court bench pulled up the police for implicating Satyam Babu and called for fresh investigation.
