ASP’s driver dies as gun misfires

Nellore:: Ramesh, who is working as driver for the ASP here died after he was fatally injured when a gun misfired at the District Police Office on Saturday night. Though he was immediately rushed to the Bollineni Super Specialty Hospital, he could not be saved as he was injured in the chest. The ASP’s gunman, Nagendra was charged with negligence in handling the gun.

Student dies of viral fever

Kurnool:: M.Gopal (20) who is pursing his Teacher Training Certificate course in a private college at Nandyal died of viral fever in the Kurnool general hospital on Sunday. Gopal, who hails from Chinna Hothur village of Aspari mandal went home from the hostel with high fever a week ago. Doctors at the Adoni government hospital treated him initially. They later referred him to the general hospital where he died while undergoing treatment.

Tenant farmers commits suicide

Anantapur:: A tenant farmer K.Ramakrishna (35), resident of Gandhi Nagar village of Bukkaraya Samudram mandal of the district on Sunday committed suicide unable to bear the debt burden. Police source said that the deceased used to cultivate groundnut and red gram in five acres of land at Neelareddypalli village during Khariff. Finding him in an unconscious state, passers by shifted him to the Anantapur government general hospital where the doctors declared brought dead. Police quoting the deceased’s wife said that the farmer had a debt burden of Rs.10 lakh.

Tirumala Brahmotsavams – 3,500 police force drafted for security

Tirumala:: Anantapur DIG Prabhakara Rao said that 3,500 police personnel will be draft for bandobust duty for the upcoming Sri Venkateswara Swamyvari Brahmotsavams scheduled from September 23 to October 1. Necessary Security arrangements are being taken to avoid any untoward incidents.
