Three Suvidha Special Trains

Hyderabad:: 1.Train No. 06336Kochuveli–Guwahati Special fare Special Train will be run as Suvidha Special and renumbered as Train No. 82642 on 4th, 11thand 18th June 2017 (Sundays). 2.Train No. 06045Chennai Central–Ahmedabad Special fare Special Train will be run as Suvidha Special and renumbered as Train No. 82611 on 3rd, 10thJune 2017 (Saturdays). 3.Train No. 06058Chennai Central–Satragachi Special fare Special Train will be run as Suvidha Special and renumbered as Train No. 82646 on 21st June 2017.


300 chilli bags gutted in Guntur

Guntur:: As many as 300 chilli bags loaded in a truck were gutted when they came in contact with live electrical wires barely 200 metres from the chilli yard today. The truck was heading to Tamil Nadu when the accident took place. Superintendent of Police, Guntur Urban Sarvashresth Tripathi rushed to the spot and supervised the fire-fighting measures. Four fire tenders were deployed to bring the fire under control. The loss is estimated to be Rs.1 lakh.

Left parties bandh – Congress extends support

Vijayawada:: The APCC has supported the bandh call given by the Left parties on May 24 to highlight the severe drought situation prevailing in Rayalaseema region. APCC president N.Raghuveera Reddy in a statement said the Congress would extend full support to the bandh called to demand the State and Central governments to pay compensation for crop loss, provide drinking water, fodder for livestock and establish free gruel centres for children in Rayalaseema districts.

APPSC departmental tests from June 8

Vijayawada:: The departmental tests of APPSC will be held from June 8 to 13 according to an official release. The detailed notification can be had on website www.psc.ap.gov.in.

Collectors asked to solve water problem

Vijayawada: Minister for Panchayat Raj and Information Technology Nara Lokesh has instructed the District Collectors to address the drinking water problem. A toll-free number will be launched in a couple of days to know about the grievances on the issue. Addressing the District Collectors via video-conference today, he said on an average, 300 calls were being received at the call centre dedicated to solve drinking water problems. Lokesh suggested that steps should be taken under NTR Sujala for setting up RO plants wherever necessary

No compromise on SCS, says YSRCP

Ongole:: The support of the party to BJP nominee in the presidential election will in no way dilute the party’s stand to fight for Special Category Status to the State according to its chief whip in Parliament Y.V.Subba Reddy. He said that the State Reorganization Act should be amended to include Prakasam in the list of seven backward districts in the State and provide concessions to usher in industrial growth. He said that YSRCP is ready to join hands with the TDP to ensure completion of the second phase of the Nadikudi-Srikalahasti line by 2019, he said.
