Upcoming singer Sujith commits suicide

Hyderabad:: Upcoming singer Sujith (23) committed suicide on Sunday night at around 11.30pm according to sources. Sujith along with his parents hailing from YSR district was staying at Meerpet near LB Nagar for the last forty years. The reasons for the extreme step is not known. He is working for an orchestra in the city.

Congress is trying to cheat the people once again’, says Chandrababu

Vijayawada:: Responding to the criticism levelled by Congress that he lacked the courage to take on Prime Minister Modi to get the assurances to the State fulfilled, Chandrababu Naidu said that he has no fear of anyone and that he agreed to the financial package offered by the Centre in lieu of Special Category Status because he believed that Modi’s word that the financial assistance would be more beneficial than the SCS. Speaking to a workshop on Welfare and Inclusive Growth organized, he said that Congress vice-president and his party leaders who executed bifurcation conspiracy are trying to cheat the people of the State once again.

N.S.Ramanuja Tatacharya passed away

Tirupati:: N.S.Ramanuja Tatacharya, founder Vice-Chancellor of the Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, Tirupati passed away in Mumbai today. He was 90 years old. Considered an authority in Indology studies, he was a recipient of Padma Bhushan and the French government’s ‘Chevalier’ award.

Fire breaks out at Seshachalam forests

Tirupati:: For the second consecutive time, fire broke out in the Seshachalam forest ranges, this time in the vicinity of the TTD run SV Vedapatasala situated about five km from the town. The inmates who were the first to notice the flames in the backyard of the vedapatasala alerted the fire officials who immediately rushed the fire tenders to the spot who could bring down the fire under control.

Damodar Naidu appointed as VC of Agricultural university

The State government has appointed Agricultural scientist Dr.Vallabhaneni Damodar Naidu as the Vice Chancellor of Acharya NG Ranga Agricultural University. Governor ESL Narasimhan has issued orders to this effect. He assumed charge as the VC of the University.
