Police given bikes to catch violators

The city traffic police got 50 high-end smart bikes to deal with the traffic violators at various parts in the city. The motor cycles were donated by Divis Pharmaceutical Company as a part of their Corporate activity. HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao flagged off the motorcycles in the presence of the City Police Commissioner T.Yoganand.

Former Minister Ravela Kishore Babu lands in controversy

Guntur:: Former Minister and Pattiapadu MLA Ravela Kishore Babu landed in a controversy after the local at Pedanandipadu protested against him and obstructed the convoy of Minister Chintakayala Ayyanna Patrudu. The Minister participated in various developmental programmes in Pattipadu constituency on Wednesday. While he was on the way to Pattipadu, the locals of Pedanandipadu obstructed his convoy and raised slogans against Kishore Babu. The locals leveled allegation against Kishore Babu that he was demanding money for house allocation and housing loan. They also alleged that he was preferring YSRCP workers of Telugu Desam.

No Divya darshan tickets at Tirumala

Tirumala:: Due to heavy pilgrim rush, TTD has decided to dispense with Divya darshan tokens meant for those coming by walk to the holy shrine during weekends from July 7 on trial basis. JEO KS Srinivasa Raju spoke to media at Tirumala. He said that ‘Divya Darshanam Tokens will not be issued to pilgrims those who come by walk to Tirumala during weekends.

Sacking of IYR Krishna Rao is a loss to the Chief Minister

Aantapur:: Senior Congress leader and former Rajahmundry MP Vundavalli Arun Kumar said that the sacking of IYR Krishna Rao from the Chairmanship of Brahmin Welfare Corporation is a loss for the Chief Minister. ‘ That was not correct to sack from the post instead of asking for the resignation of Krishna Rao, he said and added that the former Chief Secretary knew about all the major land scams during Chandrababu Naidu. He said that Polavaram project could not be completed by 2018.

Sannidhi Gollalu seek land, jobs in TTD

Guntur:: Sannidhi Gollalu are demanding land or heritable employment in TTD. According to practices and tradition at the Tirumala, Sannidhi Gollalu are the first to have darshan and participate in sevas offered to Lord Venkateswara Swamy. They continued as employees of TTD till heritable employment was cancelled by the government for both Archakas and Sannidhi Gollalu.

Vijayawada:: During the CRDA special meeting at the Secretariat on Wednesday, Chief Minister N.Chandrababu Naidu has directed the CRDA authorities to take legal opinion as to how to go about on the false propaganda. Designs of Government Complex, alignment for re-routing of EHV lines, radial road network from IRR to ORR, water network development for Sakhamuru park, Species proposed for and scaping, and presentation of physical model of road junctions and Kondaveeti Vagu in Amaravati were the other issues came up for discussion during the meeting.

Rs.1 lakh award for clues on missing child

Tirupati:: Tirupati Urban SP Vijay Rao has announced Rs.1 lakh reward for those giving clue about the couple who abducted a child from Tirumala recently. Police set up four teams to trace the child but there is no breakthrough yet. The SP had released clear posters of the suspect, appealed to people to take the problem as everyone’s ow and asked to inform the police if the kid were with any of the suspects. It may be recalled here that an unidentified couple had abducted a one-year old boy from Tirumala on May 14 at around 5.55am at the Golla mandapam in front of Srivari temple.

ICET counselling from July 11

Amaravati:: The ICET-2017 counselling for admissions into MBA, MCA courses will begin from July 11 according to APSCHE Chairman Prof.S.Vijaya Raju. The certificate verification will be from July 11 to 15 and registering web options from July 14 to 17 said convener GS Pandadas. The allotment of seats will be on July 17, he said.
