Rajamahendravaram:: Former MP of Amalapuram G.V.Harsha Kumar today threatened to sit on hunger strike if those responsible for the social boycott of Dalits in Garagaparru village of West Godavari district were not arrested at the earliest. Speaking to media, he claimed that he was placed under house arrest and that he would sit on fast at his residence itself. Accusing the District Collector of neglecting his duty, he said the whole system was working against the Dalits.

Srikakulam:: The APNGOs Association today threatened to launch a Statewide agitation if the government failed to resolve their grievances immediately. Speaking to media conference, APNGOs Association State associate president Chowdary Purushottam Naidu alleged that the government was not responding over the issues related to employees in spite of getting their cooperation in every aspect. Telangana government has started payment of wage revision arrears but it is not being done in the State. DA payment should be made immediately to benefit the employees, he said.
Amaravati:: NDA presidential candidate Ram Nath Kovind will be visiting Vijayawada on July 4 to canvass for his election with the MPs and MLAS of Andhra Pradesh. Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu will host a tea party in the ‘A’ Convention Centre to facilitate a meeting between Kovind and the elected representatives of the State said Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas. According to his programme, Kovind will reach Gannavaram from Hyderabad at 3pm and return to New Delhi at 6pm.

It served notices to the Principal Secretary, Water Works department, Principal Secretary, Municipal Administration, CRDA Commissioner and posted for two weeks. A Division Bench comprising of acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan and Justice T.Rajani dealing with a PIL filed by former Minister Vadde Sobhanadreeswara Rao.
Eluru:: SC and ST Commission Chairman Karem Sivaji has ordered for the suspension of Palakoderu mandal Tahsildar G.Ratnamai and Sub Inspector V.Rambabu for not acting in time in social boycott of Dalits in Gargaparru village. He directed the Superintendent of Police M.Ravi Prakash, Joint Collector P.Koteswara Rao. He ordered cancellation of cheque power to sarpanch Vunnamatla Eligibet. Karem Sivaji, Ministers Nakka Ananda Babu, KS Jawahar conducted gram sabha. Speaking at the sabha, they promised to provide vehicles to those possessing driving license and jobs to the educated persons. They said that the government is thinking of paying Rs.1 lakh ex-gratia to the victims and loans will be sanctioned through the SC/ST Corporation.
