Rayapati Sambasiva Rao lashes out IYR Krishna Rao

Guntur:: Telugu Desam Party MP from Narasaraopet Rayapati Sambasiva Rao on Wednesday alleged that the former Chief Secretary and former Chairman of AP Brahmin Welfare Corporation IYR Krishna Rao preferred Donakonda in Prakasam district as the State capital and had even written a letter to the Home Minister endorsing his stand. Speaking to media, he pooh-poohed reports that Krishna Rao was planning to write a book on the way he was humiliated by the Chief Minister. ‘Let him write a book. Is it the Ramayana or the Mahabharata? Maybe, they will read it for a day and keep it aside, he said.

Chandrababu unfurls tricolor on huge flag post

Tirupati:: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu formally unfurled the tricolor on a 100 feet tall flag post at the Tirupati airport on Thursday. After saluting the national flag, even as the national anthem was played in the background. Chandrababu said that the idea was to instill a feeling on nationalism among the people.

Vijayawada and Tirupati airports get international tag

Vijayawada:: The Centre has issued two gazette notifications declaring Vijayawada and Tirupati airports as international airports. The Union Cabinet gave its nod to international status for Vijayawada airport in May. This is as per provisions of AP Reorganization Act, 2014.

SIT will expose Jagan’s lies’, says Deputy Chief Minister

Vijayawada:: Deputy Chief Minister KE Krishna Murty today said that YSRCP president Jagan Mohan Reddy intended to deprive political mileage out of the land scandal. In a release, he said that those who are A-1 and A-2 CBI cases had no right to cast aspersions on the government. He asserted that the lie being spread would be exposed once the SIT submits its report.

YSRCP to go for a contest if TDP fails to follow convention on Nandyal seat

Kurnool:: Former MP and YSRCP leader Ananta Venkatarami Reddy addressing the district plenary here asked the TDP to leave the Nandyal seat to the party as Bhuma Nagi Reddy was elected by the people on YSRCP ticket. He said that the Chief Minister is speaking about convention and if that be the case, he should leave the seat to YSRCP. Asking if engineering defection of 21 YSRCP MLAs into TDP was the convention, he said that it would field a candidate to for a contest.
