Warehousing Corporation to shift to Vijayawada

Vijayawada:: The AP State Warehousing Corporation today accepted the financial assets and distribution of employees among State Warehousing Corporation of AP and Telangana. The 191st Board of Directors’ meeting that was held under the chairmanship of LVSRK Prasad here approved a proposal to shift the corporation’s headquarters from Hyderabad to Vijayawada.

Chief Minister to launch IGBC Amaravati chapter

Vijayawada:: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu will launch the Amaravati chapter of Confederation of Indian Industry-Indian Green Building Council at hotel Gateway on June 23 according to a release by CII Director (AP) S.Jyothi Kumar.

SIT members named

Vijayawada:: The State government issued an order constituting the SIT to inquire into the land record tampering case in Visakhapatnam. It would be headed by Greyhounds DIG Vineet Brijlal. Visakhapatnam Joint Collector G.Srijana, Deputy Collector Lanka Vijay Sarathi who is presently working as Deputy EO in the TTD would be the members. The SIT would submit its report to the government in two months.

Chandrababu Naidu counters YSRCP MLA

Kurnool:: YSRCP MLA Aisaiah’s criticism that the State government was taking fertile lands from farmers for setting up industries was countered by Chandrababu Naidu. The Nandikotkur MLA alleged that a Central university and other Central educational institutions were not sanctioned in Kurnool district. He questioned the government’s intentions behind taking over of farmers’ lands. At this stage, the MLA’s mike was cut by officials forcing him to abruptly end his speech. Reacting to the charge, Chandrababu warned that political parties and leaders who obstruct development would not be spared. He accused Opposition parties of posting hurdles to his efforts for poverty alleviation.

Chief Minister participates in Yoga Day event

Vijayawada:: Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu today assured financial help to young yoga exponent Yekambara Jyothsnavi who won a gold medal in international yoga competitions. He felicitated Jyothsanvi who performed during the Third International Yoga Day. Chief Minister along with the Nuzvid IIIT students, Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas, Irrigation Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao, Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Kollu Ravindra and officials performed ‘asanas’ with perfection. Chief Minister asked everyone to practices yoga for a disciplined life and maintain good diet.
