Jagan to take up cause of mid-day meal workers

Kurnool:: YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy today assured the workers of the mid-day meal scheme that he would take up their cause with the Centre, besides raising the issue in the Assembly. The workers called on him at Pulivendula and told him that they were not being paid salary for the last seven months.

25 Tamil Nadu red sanders workers arrested

Nellore:: At least 25 red sanders workers were arrested by the police from the forest area located in the interior Marripadu region in the early hours of today.

Seven missing fishermen traced

Kakinada:: All the seven fishermen of Palovapeta, Kakinada who were missing were traced at Paradeep, near Odisha today according to District Collector Kartikeya Misra. Speaking to media, he said that the boat drifted into deep sea near Paradeep owing to engine failure. They were given food and oil for the boat and were brought to the oat at 10.30am. it may be recalled that they went for fishing on May 31 and were missing.

Three trains flagged off

Vijayawada:: Union Minister Suresh Prabhu and M.Venkaiah Naidu and Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu today flagged off Vijayawada-Howrah Humsafar Express, Tirupati-Jammu Tawi Humsafar Express and Kadapa-Pendlimarri DEMU train remotely. They dedicated a three phase electric locomotive stimulator at the Electric Traction Training Centre here and doubling and electrification of Guntakal-Wadi section.

Bagchi appointed as Director of ACB

Kuppam mid-day meals entrusted to ‘Akshaya Patra Foundation’

Amaravati:: Principal Secretary, School Education Adityanath Das has issued orders entrusting mid-day meal scheme to Akshaya Patra Foundation in Kuppam. Rs.7.99 crore has been released as advance. The foundation will make arrangements for the implementation of mid-day meals in all 412 schools.

Special trains between Secunderabad- Raxaul

Vijayawada:: To clear of extra rush of passengers, the Railway will run special train between Secunderabad-Raxaul. Train No 07091 will run from July 4 to September 26 on every Tuesday. It will at 9.40pm at Secunderabad and reach Raxaul on the next day at 6.15pm. In its return direction, the train no. 07092 Raxaul-Secunderabad will leave at 12.45pm on every Friday from July 7 to September 29 to reach Secunderabad.

Tourism and Culture committee constituted

Amaravati:: Secretary, Tourism department Mukesh Kumar Meena has issued orders constituting tourism, culture and hereditary committee. The government Chief Secretary will be the Chairman and Principal secretaries of Finance, Municipal Administration, Irrigation as members. The Secretary for Industries and Endowments Special Secretary will be special invites. The CEO of Tourism Authority will be the member convenor.
