Vijayawada:: A business delegation from Japan comprising representatives of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and Japan International Cooperation Organization met the Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu at Secretariat on Monday. Chittoor:: Minister for Electricity Kimidi Kala Venkata Rao]] today said that there was no dispute between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana State in power issues. The power distribution issue would be dealt with by officials of the two States and solved amicably. He said that that the triangular stalemate among the two States and Singareni Collieries led to stoppage of power to Telangana State from Sunday last. He opined that the situation was only out of lack of coordination among officials. It may be recalled that AP Genco stops power supply to Telangana State .
Tirumala:: The reported denial of exemption to the TTD from the GST that will come into force from July 1 will aggravate the financial difficulties of TTD. Amaravati:: The State government has decided to allot three acres of land to AP Fibre Net at Kapuluppada. The orders have been issued to the District Collector for allocation of land at survey number 407 to AP State Fibre Net Limited.
Amaravati:: Transport department officials said that the fitness certificate will be issued to school buses up to June 15 and thereafter, those buses which do not have fitness certificate will be seized. With the schools opening on Monday across the State, the transport officials have started inspections. Amaravati:: The State government has issued orders hiking 50% of wages to the contract workers. With this the minimum wages for a contract worker would be Rs.12,000. The Finance Special Secretary in charge M.Ravi Chandra has issued orders on Monday to this effect. This will be of retrospective from April 1, 2017. The contract workers who were working in sanctioned regular vacancies with the finance department permission are eligible for the hike. The order made it clear that they would not be eligible for any annual increment or any allowances. The hike will not be applicable to the consultants, advisers, outsourcing employees.
