Vizianagaram:: The Minister for Mines and Geology R.V.S.K.Ranga Rao today warned medical officers of severe action if complaints on dereliction of duties are received. He asked the District Collector and ITDA Project Officer to post him updates on the action on the preventive measures taken to control spread of malaria and other seasonal diseases. He asked the welfare hostel warden to be present at their place of posting and take preventive measures like supplying of boiled water for drinking and sanitation.
Amaravati:: Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu at a weekly review meeting Polavaram Review meeting today said he would visit Polavaram and Purushottapatnam on July 17 to review the progress of the work in the two projects. A schedule has been prepared to run four pumps of the Purushottapatnam Lift Irrigation Scheme on August 15 to connect Godavari.
Kurnool:: Students of a municipal high school and women on Monday ransacked furniture in a liquor shop and destroyed bottles demanding closure of it which is located amidst houses and close to the school at Saipet in Kadapa city. They raised slogans demanding removal of the liquor outlet in the residential area as hundreds of students have to pass by the liquor outlet facing a security threat and nuisance from guzzlers. The police rushed to the spot and held discussions with the protesters. They asserted that they would continue their protest till it is shifted from the area.
Kakinada:: The Kakinada Court has remanded cine producer Bogadi Anji Reddy for 14 days judicial remand in a cheque bounce case. According to sources, the accused has taken Rs.5 lakhs loan from one Medapati Sai Krishna Reddy of Kakinada. Anji Reddy has issued a cheque to Sai Krishna Reddy for settlement which was bounced. The court has issued a NBW on June 27 but he didn’t turn up. He was arrested in Hyderabad and produced before the court today. He felt sick in the court and the court ordered to produce him after recovery and remanded for 14 days.
Tirumala:: The TTD has brought the cent percent refund of cancellation of rooms booked through online. The only criteria for cent percent refund is that the devotees has to cancel well before two days. In case of non-cancellation and non-utilization, no refund will be given. 50 per cent refund would be given for those who vacate the room within 12 hours and 25% refund for those who vacate 18 hours before is already in force. The amount would be transferred to the account of devotees who booked the room.
Amaravati:: The Group II mains for filling p of 982 Group II posts will be held on July 15 and 16 across the 13 districts of the State. The hall tickets have been released and the candidates need to login the official website and down load the hall tickets, said APPSC Secretary YVST Sai in a statement. He said candidates can make changes in their application. It may be mentioned here that the screening test will be conducted for 95 Assistant Statistical Officers post on July 9.
Amaravati:: The D.Ed first year examinations will be held from July 6 to 12 from 9am to 12 noon. The examinations are being conducted for those who failed in 2015-17 batch or earlier batches. The hall tickets have been sent to the respective colleges according to Director of Government examinations VS Bhargava. He said that notification have been issued for tenth and intermediate admissions in AP Open School.
