TDP leader stripped of party post

Vizianagaram:: President of the 29th division of the TDP, Suirada Yellaji was stripped of his party post and primary membership following allegations of his involvement in the murder of a transgender, Anusha in 2015. The decision was unanimously taken by the TDP urban district unit at its meeting here on Tuesday. The meeting also decided that the activities in the ward would now be undertaken by Visakhapatnam South MLA Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar.

TDP suspends Palasa Municipal Chairman

Srikakulam:: Palasa Municipal Chairman Kota Purnachandra Rao was suspended from the TDP on Tuesday. The leadership, in a circular said he was suspended for damaging the party’s image. He was recently caught by the police when he was playing cards in a guest house. He had serious differences with the Palasa MLA G.Shivaji and party district president G.Sirisha.

Chalo Amaravati to be undertaken from July 26

Rajamahendravaram:: Mudragada Padmanabham said that the government threatens to file bind over cases against the Kapu youth if they participate in ‘Chalo Amaravati’ to be under taken from July 26. In an open letter, he appealed to the members of the community to reach Kirlampudi for the launch of the padayatra and said no Kapu would go back despite the crackdown by the police. ‘We are fighting for the fulfilment of the promise made by the Chief Minsiter. But the government is targeting us without any reason, he said.

Rs.one crore demonetized notes seized

Vijayawada:: The police swooped down on a seven member gang that tried to exchange demonetized notes worth Rs.one crore on Tuesday. The black money belonged to a Chennai jeweller and a builder. Four other accused were absconding. With the Centre extending time to exchange the banned notes up to July 20, by NRIs with the permission of RBI, some gangs are trying to make easy money by depositing the banned notes said Joint Commissioner of Police B.V.Ramana Kumar.

RTC management agrees to pay DA arrears to staff

Amaravati:: The RTC management finally agreed to pay Rs.35 core pending DA arrears to the staff. RTC recognized union National Mazdoor Union leaders Ramana Reddy, Chandraiah, Srinivasa Rao and others met the Managing Director of RTC Malakondaiah. The MD has agreed to release Rs.35 crore on August 1, they said.

Second phase of EAMCET counselling from July 20

Amaravati:: The second phase of EAMCET counselling will begin on July 20. The certificate verification will begin on July 20. The allotment of seats will be on July 24 said EAMCET counselling special officer Viswanatha Reddy. The MBA and MCA seats allotment will be on Wednesday.

Counselling for Agricultural courses form July 20

Amaravati:: Acharya NG Ranga Agricultural University has announced the counselling in diploma courses in various colleges. The counselling will be held from July 20 to 28. The candidates appearing for the counselling have to bring their original certificates at Lam Farm Regional Agricultural Research Centre near Guntur. The candidates who got the seat have to pay the fee and join in the respective colleges said the Registrar Satyanarayana.
