ACB conduct raids on temple EO Srinivasa Reddy

Nellore/Ongole:: The ACB officials today conducted simultaneous raids on five places of the Executive Officer of Talpagiri Ranganadha Swamy temple of Nellore. Six teams have conducted the searches on the complaints that he amassed wealth disproportionate to the known sources of income. They also conducted searches on the principal priest Jagannadhacharyulu, junior assistant Madhavi and seized some key documents. The officials found that Srinivasa Reddy is having plats in seven places in Ongole and Nellore the market value would be over Rs.10 crore.

YSRCP urged to withdraw from Nandyal bypoll

Kurnool:: Minister for Industries N.Amarnath Reddy today appealed to the YSRCP to withdraw form the Nandyal by-election and let the TDP candidate Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy get elected unopposed on humanitarian grounds. Speaking to press, he said the government was trying to take up developmental works desired by Bhuma Nagi Reddy whose demise let to the by-election.

APPSC examinations begin today

Vijayawada:: The Main examination (online) for filling 982 posts of Group II service of the APPSC will be held on Saturday and Sunday. On July 15, the examination is scheduled from 2.30pm to 5pm and on Sunday it will be in two batches – from 10am to 12.30pm and 2.30pm to 5pm. In all, 49,106 candidates will write the examination in 171 centres across the 13 districts of the State.

Special drive for voters registration

Amaravati:: State Election Commissioner Bhanwar Lal said that a special drive will be organized for registration of voters. Speaking to press, he said that it targeted to register 20 lakh new voters in view of 2019 elections and so far 6 lakh new voters were registered. The booth level staff are going door to door to get everyone who completed 18 years of age as voters.
