Rahul Bhardwaj is IOC’s Executive Director for AP and Telangana= Hyderabad:: Rahul Bharadwaj has assumed office as Executive Director (Telangana and Andhra Pradesh) of the Indian Oil Corporation. He would be in charge of operations, logistics, supply and distribution of petroleum products for these two States according to a release.
Hyderabad:: Cotton farmers in Chilakuluripeta who have waged a battle against Kaveri Seeds company, finally have a reason to smile with the High Court ordered it to pay compensation of Rs.66.47 lakh to them. Joint Director of Agriculture V.D.V.Krupa Das has said the company started crediting the amount to the account of the Joint Director and it would be transferred to the accounts of the affected farmers. The issue came in 2016 when, on a complaint by the cotton farmers, the then Minsiter for Agriculture Pulla Rao asked the department to conduct an inquiry and submit a report. Based on the findings, the Joint Director recommended the firm to pay Rs.10,000 per acre which was challenged in the High Court. The High Court ruled that it had to pay the compensation.
Vijayawada: Chief Minsiter Nara Chandrababu Naidu has offered Group II post to Lakshmi Prasanna who lost her family members in a tragic incident recently at Tadipatri in Anantapur. MP J.C.Diwakar Reddy brought her to the Secretariat when Chandrababu enquired about her qualifications. She told him that she studied M.Sc., (organic chemistry). The Chief Minsiter discussed the matter the officials and decided to give her Group II job.
Rajamahendravaram:: District Medical and Health Officer K.Chandraiah said that two cases from Bobbilanka of Seethanagaram mandal – Anasuya (55) and 17 month old Saikumar and 16 month old Venkata Ganeeth from the Tadithota area were referred to the Government General Hospital in Kakinada by private hospitals on Monday. On Tuesday, there more suspected cases of swine flu were referred to GGH. He said that specialist doctors were available to treat the patients and as of now no case was referred to the hospital. Three patients were tested positive of swine flu.
Amaravati:: With the last date for submission of transfer application through online on Tuesday, as many as a1,06,635 applications have been received for transfers. As many as 38,701 applications have been verified so far. 97 applications have been rejected and still 67,837 applications have to be verified. The transfers will be based on allotment of points.
