Labour official trapped

Kurnool:: The ACB officials trapped Kadapa Assistant Commissioner of Labour P.Penchalaiah while accepting a bribe from a woman at the ACL office in old RIMS in Kadapa today. The accused was arrested when he took Rs.10,000 from the complainant T.Lakshmi for conducting an inquiry to ascertain the dependants of a deceased employee according to Kadapa ACB inspector K.Ramachandra.

Over 2,000 YSRCP workers join TDP

State gives conditional nod for IOCL pipeline

Vijayawada:: The State government has permitted IOCL to lay an underground pipeline and Optical Fiber Cable duct for transporting petrol, diesel, aviation turbine fuel and kerosene from Paradip refinery in Odisha to its depots at Berhampur, Visakhapatnam, Rajahmundry, Vijayawada and Hyderabad by crossing the Polavaram left main canal, Thota Venkatachalam Pushkara lift irrigation scheme and Surampalem reservoir at various locations.

Prabhakar Reddy munificent offering

Tirumala:: Noted industrialist V.Prabhakar Reddy of Nellore based VPR Infrastructure Private Limited has come forward to bear the entire cost of Rs.1.09 crore towards setting up of a retractable roof at the famous temple of Lord Venkateswara. The intention of setting up of the roof which shall cover the entire ope area between the Dwajastambam and Padikavili inside the temple complex is to protect the devout from the inclement climate conditions.

NEET 2018-19 will be with old syllabus

Amaravati:: The NEET 2018-19 examination for admissions into MBBS and BDS courses will be based on the old syllabus clarified the Central Board of Secondary Education. A notification has been issued for the conduct of NET in 103 centres on May 6. The centres in Andhra Pradesh are Vijayawada, Guntur, Visakhapatnam, Tirupati and Hyderabad and Warangal in Telangana State. The candidates have to apply by third week of February . Admit card can be downloadedfrom April 9 and the NEET will be held on May 6 and results would be announced in the first week of June.
